Smoothie-a-Day Project Day 7

Yes, I took a break yesterday. I went to a party the night before and we had nothing in the fridge. We still don’t and I used up the last of the frozen fruit this morning.

Whatever-was-in-my-fridge Smoothie (makes 2 portions)

1/4 c. Frozen raspberries
1/4 c. Frozen blueberries
1/2 banana
1 1/2 c. Kale
1 tap vanilla extract
1/4 c. Quick oats
Water

It didn’t looked very good. But it tasted fine. I had half for breakfast and the other half for lunch. Kept well in my travel mug. No funky color change. Although the color was pretty funky to start out with.

Green Smoothie meal replacement day 5

So I didn’t post a smoothie yesterday. I had one, though.

Same one as day 3 because that’s all I have. Today, I’m going to a party. So smoothie is for lunch. We don’t have any greens in my house ( mom’s getting some today) it’ll be a protein shake…I’m thinking blueberry-raspberry. And whatever else we have in the fridge. I also found a name for this smoothie meal replacement: Smoothie-a-day Project. Not very original and I could have come up with if earlier, but I’ve been busy.

I also just want to share that I ran for 45 minutes this morning. I don’t really calculate distance, but its the longest I’ve ran in a looking time. Legs are killing me. I love it.

Green Smoothie Meal Replacement Day 1

1/2 c. Kale

1/2c. spinach

Breakfast, Lunch and Yoga Mats

So. I haven’t posted anything in a while.

Well, things have been going good. For the past week I’ve been working out every morning before breakfast which always seems to start my day right. I mean, how could you not be happy when you see that you still have 1200, some times 1300 calories left in your day after breakfast?

I also got a yoga mat (finally! Thanks to my grandparents), but haven’t gotten around to using it with school and everything. Why does school always pile the projects on at the same time? I have three huge projects due the same week. Not helping my stress with upcoming standardized tests. And the stress of not having a prom dress yet. And the stress of looking for a job. And the stress of wondering how I’ll pay for university. But that’s a story for my other blog.

So, food-wise today, I made myself an egg white omelet with red bell peppers and had a cup of chai and a clementine. And a skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks ( all together 159 calories). For lunch, because I was too tired to make myself a lunch yesterday, I got a tomato mozzarella panini (390 calories). So, yeah, good day so far.
