Iron Man 3

I don’t have school tomorrow, so a couple of friends and I are going to see Iron Man 3. I mean, Robert Downey Jr. Come on.

On worried though. I had a big snack after school (cheddar rice crisps, an apple and some of yesterdays supper) and I’m not in tip top shape emotionally so I’m not sure if I can trust myself to not buy a ton of, pardon my language, crap. I may buy some kind of salad and bring it I’m, but its a bit… Well, who eats a salad in the movies?!

Ive got my run tomorrow, and I walked for about 45 minutes (to and from school, walked my dog, the two dogs I walk for money and to my future college) but still.

This no calorie counting thing is hard.

Rain, Rain go away, I ran all over you today.

So it was pouring rain today, and like all good, normal, fit addicts, I thought: Gee, let’s go run 5km. Now.

So, I did. It was awesome. Some people I knew saw me and cheered me on.

Also, I stopped counting calories today. We went out for lunch and I had a sandwich and salad but then, I bought…an oatmeal cookie. Dun Dun Dunnnn. THEN because I was feeling good and because I wanted one, a mango smoothie. And for a moment I thought : Watch the calories, G. But then I realized that I didn’t give a flying f*ck about how many calories I ate. I was feeling good, healthy and wearing a shirt that had been tight a few weeks ago and that now fit me perfectly (so it was a school shirt. It still counts). So I’m deleting my myfitnesspal account. I’ll eat more than 1200 calories.

Thou Art Evil, Nutella

Alright.

So yesterday wasn’t stellar. I got my official acceptance letter to CEGEP, which was good, but we still haven’t filmed a thing, turns out, there was no tape in our camera.

Anywho, I ate a lot. Ordered Indian with a friend, then proceeded to raid the ice cream tub and two spoon fulls of nutella. I know that its stress, but I’m getting really annoyed with myself. Its always at ten at night when I can’t go out for a run after too (too dark, too late according to mom).

Besides the typical yoga or workout to relieve stress does anyone know other ways?

Breakfast, Lunch and Yoga Mats

So. I haven’t posted anything in a while.

Well, things have been going good. For the past week I’ve been working out every morning before breakfast which always seems to start my day right. I mean, how could you not be happy when you see that you still have 1200, some times 1300 calories left in your day after breakfast?

I also got a yoga mat (finally! Thanks to my grandparents), but haven’t gotten around to using it with school and everything. Why does school always pile the projects on at the same time? I have three huge projects due the same week. Not helping my stress with upcoming standardized tests. And the stress of not having a prom dress yet. And the stress of looking for a job. And the stress of wondering how I’ll pay for university. But that’s a story for my other blog.

So, food-wise today, I made myself an egg white omelet with red bell peppers and had a cup of chai and a clementine. And a skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks ( all together 159 calories). For lunch, because I was too tired to make myself a lunch yesterday, I got a tomato mozzarella panini (390 calories). So, yeah, good day so far.

Five fourty in the bloody morning

I woke up at 5:40 today. I woke up to workout. It felt great.

So far, I’ve had a mango smoothie and an egg white fritata like thing. 144 calories for breakfast.

I packed my lunch and its 276 calories. Chicken wrap, blueberries, celeri and a home made protein bar.

Celebrating my fifth year ‘anniversary’. Not any kind of romantic stuff, but the anniversary of a friends and my friendship. Not sure what we’ll make for dinner. Anyone got a recipe for spaghetti squash?

By the way…

ITS FRIDAY!

New Things!

You thought this was going to be as post about some kind of new object to article of clothing I got didn’t you? Admit it. Well it isn’t.

A few posts ago, I said that if you requested a tea, I’d try it and give a review. And I will. But on this lazy ( well, not really, crazy workout this morning) Saturday, I thought to myself “why not try EVERYTHING?” this was inspired by Pinterest. So, I decided to try any healthy recipe (I love cooking, its kind of my thing) that is requested of me. I’d add ‘and drink’ but it has to be homemade, because there are somethings that I can’t get because I’m in a different country than some of you (unless everyone on tumblr is Canadian…..didn’t think so)

So request away,mes amis!

Vacation’s all I ever wanted, vacation had to get away

So my march break is coming to a close, tomorrow is my last day and ill be spending it in a car driving back home. With my two nine year old sisters who will probably be arguing about who’s stuffed giraffe is cuter. And I lost my headphones. Ha ha ha, no.

Anywho, there was a point to that introduction. It was that I was (still am, but not for long) on vacation with my family who is gluten and dairy free but not on a weight-loss diet. So breakfast is irresistible and packed full of calories. I finally got around to making my green tea (Organic Detox from Davids Tea) and have promised myself to drink 8 glasses of water before I go skiing with my friend at 2 p.m and to work out. And seeing as the entire ski team from the all boys highschool near my place is here, put on some (waterproof) makeup and go to the pool where they hang out. I think I may not have lunch seeing as I’m meeting my friend at a Ben&Jerry’s. Mmmmm….cookie dough ice cream…I’m off-topic. So, yeah, the point is that I’m not really the one in control of my caloric intake, seeing as my will power is near nonexistent.

OK, that was what I wanted to say, but I’ve got one (two actually) things to say: Alice’s diet. The one where all you drink is tea? That’s a starvation diet and the minute that you start eating 1200 calories again you’ll put on weight like its going out of style. Don’t take my word for it, do the research yourself. Its better to loose weight and keep it off than loose it and gain it all back and then some. You can take my word on that. Secondly: David’s Tea. Now, I wasn’t am avid tea drinker until coffee was expulsed from my house because no one (aka my mom and her boyfriend) drank it and I didn’t have time to make some in the morning. So I started drinking black tea in the morning. And then read about all the benefits of green tea. So now I drink a lot of that.

The point is: if anyone wants me to try a tea ( preferably from David’s Tea because there’s one near my house) I’m willing to try it and give a review. So message me the name of the tea, if its not from Davids Tea where I can find it and I’ll try it!

Day one….flop into the slush on the side of the road.

So, last night I stay up later than usual, that’s OK, I have no school, but then, Mother bloody Nature wakes me up at 6:20 with EXCRUCIATING abdominal pain along with….the ‘usual’. Feeling down I had a, although healthy, big breakfast. Three muffins ( no crap or oil in them-homemade raspberry almond) and 1\2 cup banana raspberry smoothie….not too bad. But being tired and bored ( how much is there to do at 6:20 a.m with out waking up the family, really?) I added chocolate chips. 1\4 cups. So, I thought, don’t worry, I’m going skating. I did. For around an hour. Then my friend who invited friends and I skating, brought us back to her place (after a peanut butter cookie at the café) to her place where she had prepared a FEAST. Cheese fondue (you dip pieces of white bread in melted cheese, common in Quebec), chicken salad (only healthy thing….not too good taste-wise), party mix and BBQ ruffles ( sneak foods are the bane of my existence….that and winter),these little phylo pastries filled with goat cheese and cranberries (God, they were good) and to top it off, chocolate cake and ice cream. I’m achy from mother Nature and its ‘slushing’ out (slush, the kind you find on the road in the very early spring, falling from the sky). Not to mention the 2 hour Driver’s Ed class Just had to take. I hate myself for saying this, but there is no way that I can find the motivation to workout tonight not even if I stare at a picture of Andrew Scott in the hopes of one day meeting him…..FLOP.
