Green Smoothie meal replacement day 5 

So I didn’t post a smoothie yesterday. I had one, though.

Same one as day 3 because that’s all I have. Today, I’m going to a party. So smoothie is for lunch. We don’t have any greens in my house ( mom’s getting some today) it’ll be a protein shake…I’m thinking blueberry-raspberry. And whatever else we have in the fridge. I also found a name for this smoothie meal replacement: Smoothie-a-day Project. Not very original and I could have come up with if earlier, but I’ve been busy.

I also just want to share that I ran for 45 minutes this morning. I don’t really calculate distance, but its the longest I’ve ran in a looking time. Legs are killing me. I love it.

Raspberry Supposedly-Green Smoothie

1/2c. frozen raspberries

1c spinach

1/3 banana

water or tea

Army-Green Strawberry Smoothie

1 c. spinach

1/2 c. frozen strawberries

1 peach

1/4 banana

water or green tea 

I swear, it was olive/army green. And was approved by the Little Sister Taste-test. She liked it. I liked it. My mom wouldnt to

touch it but took a pictue and posted it to her Facebook.

Green Smoothie Meal Replacement Day 2

Went for a jog. Holy Moo, it feels great. Didnt feel great doing it, but now…awesome. If I run everyday thisweek I’m going to a new Austrailian restoraunt with a frined on Friday. Any who, on with the smoothie!

This one went to school with me as lunch…was green-ish white-ish in the morning, and at 11 it was more like apple juice.The organic brown kind. Didnt look apetizing, but tasted amazing. Seeing as it was lunch, I added protein powder. 

Protein-Apple Green(ish) Smoothie (Makes 1 BIG portion or 2 small ones)

1 scoop whey protein powder (I suppose you could use some other kind, I just dont have any…though I don’t suggest chocolate flavoured.)

1/4 banana (frozen)

1 green apple

kale or spinach (I suggest you add alot, 1c. wasnt enough for me)

water or green tea

For all of it its 202 calories. This was this morning. Didn’t take one at lunch. 

Green Smoothie Meal Replacement Day 1

So, I’ve been through alot of stress (who knew that being stage director for your Grad show would be so demanding) and after stressful times I tend to get sick. So, I’m boosting my vitamin C intake. 

Citrus-Green smoothie for breakfast!

1 orange

1/2 c. Kale 

1/2c. spinach

1/4 banana (frozen)

water or green tea (green tea adds cafeine!)

108 calories. 

Protein Bars…No. This is Healthy Cookie Dough

I swear it tastes like cookie dough. Really. 

Six dates, 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, 1 TBS cocoa, 1/4 c rolled oats, 1 TBS maple syrup,1 TSP vanilla, add whatever nuts you want, I added almonds and some coconut. 

in food processor, grind oats until a flour. Add Protein powder. Mix. Add nuts. Add pitted dates,syrup and vanilla (I recommend cutting dates into smaller pieces beforehand). Mix until paste-y.

Remove mixture from food processor into a parchment paper lined pan (square or rectangular preferably and quite small). Pat down, if you cover with another piece of parchment paper and use something to roll over it you get nice even pieces. Unlike these.

These were about 95 calories per bar, but t depends on how thick they are and the size of the pan used. 

I got my friends addicted to these and had to make more after the first batch. I regret nothing! 

Lunch…no fun title, can’t think of one

NNo pictures this time, I ate it before I got the chance to take any…

You need:
One whole wheat tortilla
Half a chicken breast, cooked and diced
Two tblsp of grated cheese, any kind
Two slices of tomato
Something to grease the pan with.
I used a horse shaped cookie cutter to make my sandwich into a fun shape ( and makes it less calories because you don’t use all the tortilla!)

Cut folded tortilla with cookie cutter (make sure its a big one), so that you have two identical shapes.
Heat what ever you use to grease pan, put one of the tortilla prices in it. Wait for it to heat up.
Put some of the cheese, about a quarter of it, make sure its spread out.
Let it melt a bit. Add chicken.
Add more cheese, let melt.
Remove half tortilla.
Put the other tortilla in the pan.
Add cheese again. Let melt a bit.
Add tomato slices. Then more cheese.
While still in pan, put the other tortilla on it so that it makes a sandwich. Press down. Flip a few times. Remove from pan. Eat.

Contains 200 calories, but my tortillas are high calorie (190 per tortilla) so if you use some with a lower calorie count it would be lower.

Breakfast to Tea Time

So today I had a slightly bigger breakfast. Its not bad. Gluten free toast with low fat cream cheese ( I love cream cheese. I could eat cream cheese all day) and this chocolate muffin thing I found on pinterest, link bellow. All together it was about 300 calories. Not too shabby, but not too great. I’m not having lunch, instead I’ll have a late tea-time, seeing as I’ll be out applying for summer jobs. So I’ll show my pictures of low calorie cucumber sandwiches and scones. And recipes.
