OK, great day. I did end up eating the cookie dough ice cream. And it was goooood. That was after skiing two hours without my jacket ( ridiculously warm out for early march). I was wearing a sweater, my friend, a T-shirt. We saw two guys who went down shirtless. We smiled. Then, like all logical people, we went swimming. I felt confident enough to pull out my bikini. Did I mention that the pool was outside? And that I walked there in a long sleeve shirt, shorts and my boots? To everyone who looked at me strangely I said (loudly): “THIS IS HOW WE DO IT IN CANADIA, EH!” (Yes, I said Canadia with an ‘I’). And Canadians don’t really say ‘eh’. Really, we don’t. After around a while in the pool, Two guys, came. Two good-looking guys. One for me and one for my friend. But alas, it was not to be. They kind of hovered around us, and we made eye contact but neither parties approached the other. We played ping-pong after.
Tonight, there’s some kind of party for teens. I am going with my friend, to celebrate the end of our spring break. The people invited start at twelve years, so nothing special. Just hoping that there’ll be some guys from my city. It’d be nice. This girls-school thing is taking a toll on me.
So, last night I stay up later than usual, that’s OK, I have no school, but then, Mother bloody Nature wakes me up at 6:20 with EXCRUCIATING abdominal pain along with….the ‘usual’. Feeling down I had a, although healthy, big breakfast. Three muffins ( no crap or oil in them-homemade raspberry almond) and 1\2 cup banana raspberry smoothie….not too bad. But being tired and bored ( how much is there to do at 6:20 a.m with out waking up the family, really?) I added chocolate chips. 1\4 cups. So, I thought, don’t worry, I’m going skating. I did. For around an hour. Then my friend who invited friends and I skating, brought us back to her place (after a peanut butter cookie at the café) to her place where she had prepared a FEAST. Cheese fondue (you dip pieces of white bread in melted cheese, common in Quebec), chicken salad (only healthy thing….not too good taste-wise), party mix and BBQ ruffles ( sneak foods are the bane of my existence….that and winter),these little phylo pastries filled with goat cheese and cranberries (God, they were good) and to top it off, chocolate cake and ice cream. I’m achy from mother Nature and its ‘slushing’ out (slush, the kind you find on the road in the very early spring, falling from the sky). Not to mention the 2 hour Driver’s Ed class Just had to take. I hate myself for saying this, but there is no way that I can find the motivation to workout tonight not even if I stare at a picture of Andrew Scott in the hopes of one day meeting him…..FLOP.
