Rain, Rain go away, I ran all over you today.

So it was pouring rain today, and like all good, normal, fit addicts, I thought: Gee, let’s go run 5km. Now.

So, I did. It was awesome. Some people I knew saw me and cheered me on.

Also, I stopped counting calories today. We went out for lunch and I had a sandwich and salad but then, I bought…an oatmeal cookie. Dun Dun Dunnnn. THEN because I was feeling good and because I wanted one, a mango smoothie. And for a moment I thought : Watch the calories, G. But then I realized that I didn’t give a flying f*ck about how many calories I ate. I was feeling good, healthy and wearing a shirt that had been tight a few weeks ago and that now fit me perfectly (so it was a school shirt. It still counts). So I’m deleting my myfitnesspal account. I’ll eat more than 1200 calories.

Queen of snacks

Yes, I am a compulsive snacker. I’ll eat any snack food. Anywhere, anytime. Especially of its sweet. So you can imagine my joy when I found a 30 calorie cookie recipe.

3 mashed bananas
2 cups rolled oats (aka quick oats)
1 tsp baking powder
Dash of salt
Dash of cinnamon
1\4 cup apple sauce
2\3 cup almond meal
1 tsp vanilla
1\3 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)
Chocolate chips or raisins to fit your fancy.

Mash bananas, add vanilla and apple sauce, set aside. Mix oats, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, coconut and almond meal together. Add dry ingredients to wet. Fold in chocolate chips or raisins.

Bake at 350F for 20 minutes, until golden brown.
